Song of a soul in bondage

Your words pierce my soul..

I writhe and twist to break free from the bonds,

that tie me down- that stifle and suffocate,

I choke and struggle; my voice,

I have lost. Like a ripple,

I grew and lost myself in the ocean.

Set me free

To find my heaven where I can sing again,

and speak in tongues.

Let me find Eden before the first sin –

My paradise of eternal bliss,

Let me rejoice and be free again..

  1. Lovely, nice, and yearning. Well written. 🙂

One small thing, though. Without what we call the first sin, man was without awareness and, thus, could hardly be called human. Eden under that very condition surely is not a place to be sought after by conscious human beings. 🙂

    1. Thank you very much Salva for those kind words..I actually didn’t think of it that way and it’s such a valid point..without distinction of right and wrong humans would be reduced to a trance like state..guess I was too focused on the pain of the soul that sought to dissolve into oblivious bliss…Thank you once again
